Explanation:

GLUCOSE IS OXIDISED TO GLUCONIC acid. tokens reagent will give a positive test with aldehyes and other easily oxidisable components like,hydric phenols. so this test should not be taken as a confirmatory test for glucose or other reducing agent

Glucose is oxidised to Gluconic Acid. Tollen's Reagent will give a positive test with Aldehydes and other easily oxidisable compounds like, poly hydric phenols. So this test should not be taken as a confirmatory test for Glucose or other reducing sugars....
