Heelo

As we know that whenever any acid react with metal carbonate then it forms salt + carbon dioxide + water.

So when HCL reacts with nahco3 then the following reaction take place,

HCl + NaHCO3 = NaCl + H2O + CO2.

In this NaCl is salt which is also known as common salt and is used in cooking.

When dil. Hcl(Hydrochloric acid) is passed on NaHco3 (Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate) then Nacl (Sodium Chloride, common Salt) Is formed along with H20 (Water) and Co2 (Carbon Dioxide).

Observation:-

  • A gas is released with Brisk effervence (Co2) which can turn Lime water milky.

  • Water is formed (H20).

  • Common Salt is formed (Nacl).

Reaction:-

NaHco3 + Hcl ---> Nacl + H20 + Co2

Hope this will help you if it HELPS then plz mark my answer as BRAINLIEST.
