Being jealous Mrs packletide intended to kill a tiger only to outside the reputation of loona bimberton.But the mortal bullet from her gun hit the goat and the tiger died of heart failure. But she is such a vain lady, that she shut the mouths of the villagers and Louisa Mebbin with money. Further she posed before cameras with pride.

Immediately after Mrs. Packletide fired a shot the old tiger was dead. Actually what happened was, Mrs. Packletide instead of shooting the tiger shot the goat and the poor tiger died due to a heart attack.

This happened because Mrs. Packletide was not so good in shooting but she still wanted to compete with Loona Bimberton. After witnessing this incident Miss Mebin wanted to be bribed under the condition that she would not disclose this secret to anyone. She also wanted to buy a cottage and this money would be very useful for that.
