After an impulse reaches the nerve ending of a neuron a chemical substance called neuro transmittor (acetylcholine) is released which diffuses upto the dendrite of next neuron. This generates a new impulse in the next neuron.

The messages are transferred from one part of the brain or from one neuron to another happen in the form of neurotransmitters or chemicals that are sent between 2 neurons.

Initially, a synapse that is a strong electric signal arises in one neuron; this gets transmitted to the presynaptic terminal. This causes the release of ‘neurotransmitters’ which pass to the next neuron through the synaptic cleft.

These neurotransmitters are again converted to ‘electrical signals’ in the receiving neuron.
