Synapse is the gap present between two neurons. It is a junction where the signals from one neuron gets transmitted to another neuron.

In the synapse exchange of signals and chemical reactions take place which make sure that signals from all the neurons are transmitted to the brain correctly and precisely.

The gap is exactly between one neuron's terminal bud and another consecutive neuron's dendrite.

The gap between two adjacent neurons is called synapse . At synapse , a chemical substance is produced at the end of axon of one nerve cell that reaches to the other nerve cell through the dendrite . Thus , information is transmitted from one nerve cell to other nerve cell by synapse .
