What happens for the dry raisins, when we put them in plain water for some time? What would happen if soaked raisins are placed in concentrated salt solution? State the reason for whatever is observed.

I would double-check my answer, but I will help you as much as possible; dry raisins in water for some times would result in the raisins become larger and moist, as a result of a process known as osmosis, where water flows through the membrane of the raisin. If soaked raisins were placed in a salt solution, the raisins would dry up, as the salt would move in (diffusion) and the water would come out. Essentially, the salt would dry up the raisins. This is merely an example of diffusion and osmosis, where diffusion is the movement of particles across/through a semi-permeable membrane, while osmosis is the movement of water across/through a semi-permeable membrane. I hope this helps! :)
