When a raisin or kishmish is kept in sugar solution then cell will start losing water due to exosmosis and consequently the raisin will shrink.....

hii mate here is the answer to your question
if you put a raisin or kishmish in a sugar solution the raisin or kishmish would shrink because of exosmosis.
Exosmosis means exit of water molecules from the cell when sorrounded by hypertonic solution.
here the concentration of solute is more and the concentration of water /solvent is less as compared to that inside the raisin .
Therefore the water comes out from the cell.
1.25%salt solution and 10%glucose solution are hypertonic for red blood cells.
