what happens if a plant is kept in a water which is mixed with red ink ...what type of changes occurs in plants..i will report u if u gave wrong answer

This experiment is done to check the movement of water in stem in which ink is mixed with water and the stem is left in the mixture and after an hour we observe the stem and it shows that the ink is present inside the stem shows that the stem conducted the water and the ink, as well as the colored ink patches, are observing it proves that  the xylem and its elements help stem to conduct the water.
