Symptoms of a stenotic valve include chest pain, shortness of breath and dizziness or fainting caused by inadequate blood flow to the brain. Ifthe bicuspid valve does not close completely, blood can flow backwards into the heart. This is regurgitation, also called aortic valve insufficiency.
