platelets are the cells which are helpful in coagulation of blood which release clotting factors.if these cells are absent then coagulation does not takes place.if we are injured then blood does not clot.this results in loss of blood

If there are no platelets in our blood, our skin would not be able to stop the bleeding if we are wounded or cut because platelets are there to induce the clotting action which stops bleeding and loss of build. Thus there would be overflow of blood and we may loose our life.
