A hole between the two sides of the heart produces an abnormal mixture of oxygenated blood from the lungs and the de-oxygenated blood from the rest of the body.... Right heart failure may be developed and the supply of appropriately oxygenated blood to the body tissues may become compromised...Therefore we have different chambers...;)
