What happens if external potential applied becomes greater than e°cell of electrochemical cell?

- If the external potential applied become greater than E° cell of electrochemical cell, the reaction gets reversed.
- Current flow gets reversed and cell starts to get recharged.
- That is it acts as electrolytic cell.
