IF HYDROCHLORORIC ACID [HCL] DOES NOT PRODUCE IN STOMACH THAN GASTERIC JUICE ENZYME POPULARLY KNOWN AS PEPSIN DOES NOT DO THE IMMULSSIFICATION OF PROTIENS BECAUSE IT ONLY WORKS ON ACIDIC MEDIUM.

acid is required for the digestion of protein
acid is required for the stomach to empty correctly
acid is required to sterilise the stomach and kill bacteria
If no hcl is secreted then these activities will not be done.
