Oil layer covers the pores nd reduces transpiration nd other mechanism of plants

Tejaswi3333: thanks
Anonymous: stomata present on surface of leaf get blocked.. gaseous exchange affected.. then there will be decrease in photosynthesis

If leaves of a stomata are coated with oil the leave will die because there are small pores on the leaf called stomata. There pores help in exchange of gases. So when we apply oil on the leaf the oil blockes the stomata and exchange of gases doesn't takes place and the leaf may die
