photon hits the electron and goes to some other direction with some larger wavelength and give some of its energy and the electron moves to some other direction as it gains kinetic energy

I wouldn't say a photon hits an electron but is more absorbed by the electron. ... When a photon and an electron meet the energy is transferred between the photon and the electron. The photon particle is destroyed in the process.
