What happens if pickels are prevesed in iron containers?

When pickles are kept in iron container (preserved) the inner steel layer of the container stars to corrode as because there is still moisture and oxygen present in the container and which is not fully utilised, there is an absolute light amount of acid present in the pickle which when reacts with metal can cause heath hazards. While if we keep the pickle in a glass container we will not see any problem of that sort.
