what happens if red blood cells are kept in a concentrated solution

If a red blood cell is placed in water, water enters the cell by osmosis. Because the membrane is quite weak the cell will burst as the volume and therefore the pressure in the cell increases.Red blood cells shrink when placed in concentrated solutions of sugar as water moves out of them by osmosis.

If red blood cell kept under concentrated solution..

It will become the case of hypertonic solution where outer medium is concentrated and inner is less concentrated.

In this state cell loose water and shrink which means RBC will also shrink out if kept in concentrated solution .
