If the plant species are not protected, they will become extinct gradually and this will disturb the entire ecosystem as plants are primary producers and they provide us with the basic necessities of life.

* Any food chain starts from plants as they are the primary producers and hence directly or indirectly provide food for all.

* They help in maintaining the balance of carbon dioxide and oxygen in nature as they take in carbon dioxide and give out oxygen.

* They prevent soil erosion, provide us with the raw materials for medicines, clothes, and many more.

* Apart from these, they also have other numerous benefits due to which it supports the earth and its absence will lead to the extinction of life on earth.
