what happens if the rate of respiration is more than the rate of photosynthesis in plants

the rate of photosynthesis in plants will not be more than the rate of respiration because there no too many plants in the earth. but rate of respiration can be more than the rate of respiration in plants

Answer:

1) Respiration is a Catabolic process and Photosynthesis is an Anabolic process.

2) During Photosynthesis, Glucose is prepared by the Plants which inturn used it as a Raw Material for Respiration.

3) Both Anabolic and Catabolic processes must occur in a plant for its Normal Growth.

4) Oxygen is released into the Air, as a by-product of Photosynthesis. This Oxygen is used by the Plants in Respiration.

5) If the Rate of Respiration becomes more than the Rate of Photosynthesis in Plants, it is starved off supply of food and thereby it gets Dry up and finally it leads to death of Plants.
