Hello Friend!

Every ecosystem on earth needs biodiversity and without it the whole web of life that includes us humans will collapse. Species provide important resources so we can survive. This is biodiversity in action. The ocean and biodiversity need each other without biodiversity the ocean would be murky with no sign of life. "In this system of Universe all of us are dependent on each other " -- This is what the law of Biodiversity says. So if there is any harm to BIODIVERSITY naturally harm will be caused to us .

Hope this may help you !

Nice question! and also l want to answer

First what is biodiversity?
The variety of life on earth is commonly referred to as biodiversity. Think of what would happen if there is no biodiversity. It plays an important role in the functioning of food chains and food webs. In fact, it helps to maintain the ecological balance of ecosystems. At present, the human activity is causing large scale extinction of many species of plants and animals. This is affecting the functioning of several ecosystems. The preservation of species and their habitats is important for ecosystems to function. Yet , the pressures to destroy habitat for timber, illegal hunting and other challenges are making conservation a struggle.

Conserving biodiversity is very important as a group of organisms has an important role to play in an ecosystem. For example - if the deer in a forest are killed, the population of lion will also decrease as the animal will not get sufficient food. The population of scavengers will also affected. To prevent this, the Government of India is setting up biosphere reserves, national parks and wildlife sanctuaries in different parts of the country.

Hope it helps you.
