The plant would die. It would become dry and finally dry. Phloem helps the plant by carrying sugar,amino acids and other nutrients from roots to the leaves,stem and other parts of the plant.

if we remove phloem from stem then the transport of food and harmones won't be possible in the plant due to which the plant will die.
