Materials Required:
Copper Sulphate solution, test tube, iron nail
Objective:
To observe the displacement reaction taking place.
Procedure:
Take Copper Sulphate solution, which is a blue colored solution, in a test tube.
Add a iron nail in it, and wait and observe
Observation:
You can see the change in color of the solution and a brown deposit in the nail.
Result:
The green colored solution is Iron Sulphate and the brown deposit on the nail is copper... A displacement reaction has taken place.
