Main Functions of G1 Phase. The G1 phase is often referred to as thegrowth phase, because this is the time in which a cell grows. During thisphase, the cell synthesizes various enzymes and nutrients that are needed later on for DNA replication and cell division.

hey buddy !! here's your answer....

➡️G1 phase is marked as the initiation of DNA replication .

in this phase the cell is metabolically active but doesn't undergo replication. it prepares itself for replication by synthesis of various substances required during replication.

hope it helps !!❤️✌️
