These reaction use photolysis or the use of light energy to spilt water molecules and produced oxygen. In these light dependent reaction , light energy is observed by chlorophyll and other pigment and transfered to reaction center of photosystem.

Medhavi06: Photodissociation, photolysis, or photodecomposition is a chemical reaction in which a chemical compound is broken down by photons. It is defined as the interaction of one or more photons with one target molecule. Photodissociation is not limited to visible light.
