The problem is that we all use metals at home and
in industries. The metals react quickly with Oxygen in (damp) air and form oxides. That results in rusting. Due to rusting the outer layer of metal comes off as powder.
Due to the corrosion, the objects lose good appearance and also prevent their good use. That weakens the object too. Also more friction results due to corrosion. So corrosion is bad for humans.
To prevent corrosion, alloys of metals are made and special heat treatment is also done. Some oils, paints or chemicals are polished or applied on metallic surfaces.
If we eat food that is stored in a rusted container, it is dangerous to our health. So corrosion is not good for us. Alloys are fit for domestic use, because they do not rust easily. Example is stainless steel.
Pure Metals are soft, malleable and ductile. We want strong utensils and contains or plates. Thus alloys of required strength and hardness and density are manufactured for different purposes.

Answer:
If Alloy were not discovered,
(i) There will be more possibility to get rust.
(ii) More precautions would have been taken to prevent the corrosion.
(iii) We cannot obtain desirable of qualities such as Hardness, Lightness and Strength.
(iv) The durability of utensils have been decreases.
(v) More consumption of Fuel for Cooking.
