Inside the matter basically the heat which is. supplied to that particular matter, the heat is used up in breaking up the intermolecular force of attraction Nd due to that the molecules can overcome the force of attraction and the matter changes its state.

plzzzzz mark it as brainliest..

Hi There!

#What happens inside the matter during the change of state?

→To know about changes that take place in matter during change if state , let's consider example of Water , It is convertible into , Solid (Ice) , Liquid (water) and Gas ( vapour).

Let's consider Ice →

Ice is the solid form of water , it forms when we freeze water and freezing point of water is 0°C. What happens inside ice , when we melt ice?

When Ice starts melting , the intermolecular space starts increasing and molecules gain more kinetic energy and the heat energy which is involved in this process is absorbed to overcome the intermolecular space and hence , it increases.

When we talk about Liquid , form it also faces the same change but intermolecular space and kinetic energy when liquid changes to vapour is more if compared to Liquid , and it's least in Solid.

When we cool down the objects , reverse of the above action happens , means decrease in Kinetic energy , intermolecular space also decreases.
