It depends on what type of burn it is. You’ve probably heard of first degree, second degree, and third degree before and that basically what it is. Here's a bulleted list I made to help you out. Note that I did have to look some things up and asked questions for I have never been burned myself.First Degree is one of the more milder burns basically there is just some redness and your skin may start to peel. You might experience swelling and pain. You can treat it with cold water and pain reliever.Second Degree is when there is damage to your skin or deeper tissues. It usually causes blisters which can cause extreme discomfort. It can be treated with cold water, applying cream to blisters, and taking certain medication.Third degree is the most serious type of burn, and if you have one you must be taken to the hospital immediately. This burn makes your skin white and waxy, and can give your skin a leathery texture. It can only be treated with medication attention.
