when the leaf is boiled with alcohol it change into pale white colour

the green leaf contains chlorophyll. when it is double boiled in alcohol, the alcohol changes its colour to green colour(of the chlorophyll) and the leaf turns pale white/yellow.
later when the leaf is taken out and starch test conducted, using iodine solution, the iodine sol turns the green part of the leaf blueish- black.
As, only the green part of the plant has chlorophyll.
