what happens to a red blood cell when kept in a 5% glucose solution

when rbc is kept in 5% glucose solution then water will move out to the surrounding from the cell since it moves from higher conc to lower and outside the surrounding has kess concentration of water than the cell,,,,,

  1. when RBC is added in such solution the water will move from lower concentration (RBC) to higher concentration (solution) and will eventually shrink .
  2. More water will move out of the red blood cells
