What happens to a white light ray when it passes through two prisms kept in inverted position with respect to each other? ​

If the two prisms are kept upright, one after the other, the white light will be split into a spectrum of 7 colours by the first prism. ... However, if one of the prisms is inverted wrt the other, the dispersion will be nullified and final light will be white.

It is first dispersed into seven colours while passing through first prism and is then it again goes back to white colour when passed through second prism which is inverted.
