- agriculture is cultivation of land and the products obtained from the process are most of the times directly consumed if we take in to account the food products like fruits and vegetables . However, without a food processing industry, these commodities loose their self life since they are highly perishable. So, the economic structure of agriculture will take a hit. it may not be possible to feed the whole population of world with the current production area if industries are not there. so, without industries men may have to return to self sustainability with kitchen gardens which is impossible to attain in today's landscape
