What happens to apical meristem when it looses its ability to divide?

apical meristem is one which show division continuously through the life of plant. if it lost its ability to divide then plant will stop growing height wise

Answer:

When the apical meristem loses its ability of division, the plant will not aquire height. It doesn't affect the  girth of the plant, but the shoot height will not increase.
