What happens to blood when it passes through the lungs?
Answers
Answer
lungs are the respiratory organs of the body. The main function is to oxygenate the blood. When the deoxygenated blood from different parts of body reaches lungs it oxygenates the blood and send it to heart. The heart pumps the oxygenated blood to different parts of body.
the blood in the nerves gets oxidized by the oxygen bought by aveoli then it travels through the heart. the O2 in the blood is supplied to all the body parts i.e all the cells in our body. they are used by the cells to produce energy by respiration. Then Co2 is released which is in the blood comes back to the aveoli and is released by exhalation and then the person breathes in again which means fresh O2 is again supplied to the aveoli and then the blood and the process continous
hope it helps
