what happens to carbohydrates in green plants which are not immediately utilised​

The carbohydrates in the green plants are converted into starch

Starch is the storage polysaccharides in plants which is a homopolymer

This starch is then stored in special storage organs like sometimes roots ( carrots , raddish ) or stem ( potato) etc
