What happens to force when area is doubled

When we are applying force on a particular area, if the area is doubled, the net force acting remains same but the force acting on per unit area deacreases by its half.

hi there,
nothing happens to the force when area is doubled,but if area is doubled  the  pressure decreases as pressure=force/area.pressure is inversely proportional to area .
