Idli dough when kept at room temperature will get spoiled and become unfit for eating. Its odour and taste would become unpleasant and hence it would no longer be safe for eating. This is because the room temperature in summers is very suitable for the growth of micro-organisms. The moisture content and temperature conditions are very appropriate for their growth, which thus spoil the food.
