lionization enthalpy:-)

lt is the amount of energy which is required to remove most loosely bonded electron from an isolated gaseous particle.

Change in ionization enthalpy :-)

☆Along period :-

along the period ionization enthalpy increases due to increase in nuclear charge.

inert gases have extra stability so there ionization enthalpy is maximum.

Along group:-

on moving down the group size of atom increases ionization enthalpy decrease due to decrease in force of attraction.
