Its obvious that when light gets disappear night happens disappeared it would cause a very interesting phenomenon to happen. Firstly, I have to explain the way that light travels throughout the universe. Light travels at a mostly fixed speed which means that the farther a light source is away, the longer it will take to notice any change in its light output.

Because whatever we see all around is due to the absorption and reflection of the emitted photons. Every material reflects a particular wavelength(s) photon(s) and absorbs rest. Black, well reflects none. So when the source is off, the photons dispersing with speed of light gets absorbed by everything around and it gets dark. But in nature we do have light even when source is OFF. For example Stars. The light we are getting from stars is not the light they are emitting right now. Even few stars which we see have already died/burnt away but since they are so distant that their photons take time to reach us. So in such specific case, star is already dead or OFF but since it's light is not absorbed fully, we can see those stars i.e. those particles are still emitting radiations.
