what happens to O2 in the reaction O2 + MG = MgO on the product side? Please very important​

Answer:

  1. Because the valency of O2 is 2- nothing will happen to O2 just it combines with Mg

Anandbandavath: It wont be seen on product side because it combines with Mg to fulfill its valancy
Anandbandavath: But the half 1/2O2 liberates on product side

It is Combination (Direct) product when two reactants that is Magnesium ribbon reacts in presence of air (O2) to form Magnesium oxide which is basic in nature because of the presence of oxide which is known as the metallic oxide
