If the rate of respiration is more than the rate of photosynthesis, the energy consumed will be more than the energy produced. Since, plants are autotrophs and they don't have external source of nutrition for gaining this energy. It will die.

If the rate of respiration is higher than the photosynthesis.then the plant will be starving more because higher rate of respiration leads to more consumption of the oxygen and if the food production/photosynthesis is less then the plant can't get energy as it is consuming more oxygen and it takes more energy so the plant will be starved alot.because the supply of food is less and there will be a lack of light and at last due to all of these the plant will die. Hope this helps u.n pls mark as brainliest.
