Answer:

The volcanic arc is formed to "plate A" as it collides with "plate B". The collision of these two plates results in the oceanic current which is generated. ... The earthquake is produced because of the volcanic arc creation between the plate A and the plate B.

When plate A collides with plate B, a convergent boundary is formed.

  • There are three cases involved when two plates collide:
  1. A and B are continental plates: If two continental plates collide, the magma beneath the Earth's crust rises and volcanic eruptions take place. Sometimes this leads to the formation of island arcs.
  2. A is continental while B is an oceanic plate: In this case, the oceanic plate being denser than the continental plate is forced beneath the latter. This forms chain of volcanoes or oceanic floors.
  3. A and B are oceanic plates: One oceanic plate is subducted by the other rand which forms an oceanic trench.
