The relation between resistance of conduction and its area of cross section is inversely proportional.

According to the basic concept, the current flow of conductor is equivalent to the flow of liquid in a pipe.

When the amount of current flowing at constant energy increases, the area of cross section also increases, resulting in decrease in resistance.

As the amount of current flowing at constant voltage increases with increase in cross section of area, resistance decreases.
