What happens to the area of a rectangle when
(a) length is doubled and breadth is halved,
(b) when length and breadth both doubled​

Answer:

Area of rectangle is lb.

(a) if length is doubled and breadth is halved then the area of rectangle will be 2l × 1/2 b = lb.

(b) if length and breadth both doubled then the area of rectangle will be 2l × 2b = 4(lb).
