what happens to the area of rectangle when its length is doubled,the breadth remaining the same ?

let the l & b of a rectangle be 6 & 4 respectively
then, a = lb
= 6*4 = 24
if l is doubled
then l = 6*2= 12
then, a = 12 * 4
a = 48
Hence, if l is doubled then area is also doubled .
