according to Archimedes principle when an object is partially or fully immersed in a fluid the buoyant force is equal to the weight of the fluid displaced by the immersed part of the object. so as more and more volume of solid object is immersed in a liquid more is the weight of fluid displaced hence greater is the buoyant force. buoyant force becomes maximum when the whole solid object is immersed in the fluid.
