centripetal accleration = linear velocity^2 \radius
radius x angular velocity = linear velocity
then
V=2v
R=r\4
putting in formula we get
acceleration increases by 8 times

Answer:

The new centripetal acceleration is same as the initial acceleration. If the orbital speed is doubled, v'=2v and angular velocity is halved, . New centripetal acceleration becomes : So, the new centripetal acceleration is same as the initial acceleration.
