What happens to.The diameters of netwons rings when.It is palce in water?

ANSWER

We know that the diameter of Newton's ring is inversely proportional to the refractive index.

so due to introducing of water ,the refractive index will increase compare to the air and as a result the diameter of the ring will decrease.
