Answer:

I) After fertilization the sepals, petals and stamens of the flower wither and fall off. The pistil however, remains attached to the plant. The zygote develops into the embryo and the ovules develop into the seed. The ovary develops into the fruit which develops a thick wail called pericarp that is protective in function.

ii) The petals fall off after fertilisation as they only served the function to attract pollinators and protect the ovary

iii) After fertilization, the fertilized ovule forms the seed while the tissues of the ovary become the fruit. In the first stage of embryonic development, the zygote divides to form two cells; one will develop into a suspensor, while the other gives rise to a proembryo.

iv) After fertilization, the fertilized ovule forms the seed while the tissues of the ovary become the fruit. In the first stage of embryonic development, the zygote divides to form two cells; one will develop into a suspensor, while the other gives rise to a proembryo.
