Heya!!!

Here's your answer friend,

a) In the stomach :
Stomach is a large organ which expands when the food enters it, it contains gastric gland which secretes gastric juice. Partial digestion of food takes place here. The churning action of food physically breaks down the food. The stomach releases acids and enzymes for the chemical break down of food. The enzyme pepsin breaks down protein into amino acids,
Enzyme lipase breaks down fats into fatty acids plus glycerol and enzyme amylase breaks down carbohydrates into sugar.

b) in the small intestine : The partially digested food from stomach is passed To small intestine by muscle contractions called peristaltic waves. Most of the chemical digestion and break down of food takes place in duedenom .
Food is mixed with bile from gall bladder digestive juices from the pancreas.
Later, by the time the food reaches the large intestine.

Hope it helps you : )
