What happens to the image distance in the eye when we increase the distance of an
object from the eye?

There is no change in the image distance in the eye when we increase the distance of an object from the eyes . The eye lens can increase or decrease the focla length of the eye lens die to the power of accommodation. ... hence the image will be formed on the retina .....✌✌✌

Given that,

When we increase the distance of an  object from the eye.

We know that,

The image is formed on retina.

The focal length of eye lens is changed which remunerat the increase in object distance due to power of arrangement. It means the image distance does not change.

The focal length increases if we increase the distance of an  object from the eye.

So, The image distance always fixed.

Hence, When we increase the distance of an  object from the eye then the image distance will not change in the eye
